Oral Health is an important issue that significantly impacts a child’s overall health and development; we know that poor oral health early in life can affect a number of factors including: performance at school, social skills and self-esteem.
There is a huge opportunity for parents, teachers and dental professionals to band together to devise innovative, entertaining and interactive ways to make oral care fun for Australian children and to educate them on the importance of looking after their teeth. By working together, we can ensure that the younger generation have strong and healthy teeth for life.
The Bright Smiles Bright Futures™ program gives teachers, children and families the tools they need to make good oral health a permanent part of their lives. The program focuses on messages surrounding prevention to build confidence to enable kids to take control of their own oral health. We want children to understand not just what they need to do to have healthy teeth for life but also why!
